SAN ANTONIO, Jan. 24, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) (“Pfizer”), a global leader in pharmaceuticals, today announced the U. S. Food and Drug Administration has issued an advisory on Viagra (sildenafil citrate) for use by individuals with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction (ED). The FDA advisory is based on information provided by Pfizer and its partner drug company Sanofi Aventis (NYSE: SAV).
Viagra was initially developed as a treatment for erectile dysfunction in men by Pfizer, and was approved for over 10 million prescriptions in the U. in 2015.
